Actress Vijayalakshmi, who has worked in Tamil films like "Chennai 600028" and "Aadama Jaichomada", has called it quits to acting to venture into film production.
A source close to Vijayalakshmi told IANS: "She wasn't too interested in acting right from the beginning despite support from everybody around her.
"Production, as people think is very risky, but she's quite confident and has no second thoughts about it."
After facing the camera for seven years, Vijayalakshmi wants to concentrate on one thing.
"It's tough to concentrate on two things at a time. Hence, she's bidding adieu to acting and plans to concentrate on producing. Her first project as a producer may roll from July. It's too early to divulge more details," the source said.
Some of her other films include "Saroja", "Rendavathu Padam" and "Vennila Veedu".
