Villarreal football club has decided to rename its stadium, El Madrigal, on January 8, though the new name has not been disclosed.
Fernando Roig, the president of Villarreal, did not reveal the new name to be given to the Yellow Submarine's home, but told Efe that it will be related to ceramics as the city is famous for its ceramic industry.
The ceremony will take place hours before the La Liga match between Villarreal and Barcelona when the remodelling of the stadium will also be revealed.
Villarreal modified the stands at El Madrigal to give more space to the field by reducing the capacity of the stadium by a thousand spectators.
