Tennis World No.4 Stanislas Wawrinka is looking for a positive start to the new year when he takes to the court at the Chennai Open.

This will be Wawrinka's seventh straight Chennai Open, which he won in 2011 and 2014. The 20th edition of the tournament will be held at the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) Stadium Jan 5-11.

"I like Chennai very much. The atmosphere is always great and the fans are amazing, that's why I keep coming back. The crowd makes that stadium go wild. The tournament was a great start to an amazing year in 2014 and I hope that it will be the same in the new year," said the 29-year-old.

Last year, the Swiss followed up the Chennai Open victory with his one and only Grand Slam -- Australian Open -- triumph in Melbourne.

"I have had a few great wins, starting from the ones against (Novak) Djokovic, (Tomas) Berdych and (Rafael) Nadal in Melbourne as well as beating Roger (Federer) in the final in Monte Carlo. If I have to pick one match it's probably the one against Novak in Australia," said Wawrinka, who also won the men's doubles title at Chennai with Benoît Paire in 2013.

Going into 2015, Wawrinka doesn't have specific goals other than being consistent and continuing to win more titles. He is still waiting for his first ATP 500 title and wants to do well at the Masters 1000s as well as the Grand Slams.

The Laussane-born is also looking forward to enjoying chicken tikka masala.

"I enjoy Indian cuisine a lot. It's delicious," he exclaimed.
