Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar Tuesday said that his ministry has ensured greater transparency by initiating online submission of applications for environment and forest clearances.
Speaking on his government's initiatives in checking pollution, Javadekar added his ministry has upgraded pollution norms for the cement industry.
"We have also introduced system of online monitoring of discharge from polluting industries in Ganga," Javadekar said at a press conference on initiatives of ministry of environment, forest and climate change in the past three months here.
He added that his ministry has allotted Rs.100 crore for a National Adaptation Plan.
