Barcelona boss Luis Enrique Monday said his side needs to put up an improved display to remain in contention for the Spanish title.
"There are still things we need to improve, both in attack and defence," Enrique was quoted as saying by bbc.com.
"That's the only way that we can challenge for titles, which is our main target for the season."
The Catalan giants are yet to strike top form even though they have just conceded nine goals in 19 La Liga games.
Barcelona are one point off leaders Real Madrid, after Argentine Lionel Messi's hat-trick handed them a 4-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna Sunday.
Enrique who was in news recently for his rumoured fall out with Messi, however, was all praise for his star striker after the match.
"He always been playing a very high standard of football. I never noticed any drop in his form."
