Actress Vijayalakshmi's new stint as a lyricist for upcoming Tamil film "Pandigai" has stunned its director and her husband Feroz. She has penned a song in the film, due for release in July.
"Viji enjoys writing poems. But I never expected her to don the lyricist's hat. It totally took me by surprise," Feroz told IANS.
She penned a song called "Adiyae" for the film.
"Composer Vikram and I were struggling to find good lines for the song. We even went with some leading lyricists, but things didn't work out for us. She decided to chip in and I was quite reluctant initially. But when I got a few lines from her, I was stunned," he said.
The film, produced by Vijayalakshmi, stars Krishna Kulasekaran and Anandi in lead roles.
