Tennis star Sania Mirza has been chosen by Ritu Pande as the showstopper for her show on Friday at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring-Summer 2015, starting here Wednesday.
The designer will launch a collection titled "Lady in Lace", inspired by the layered nuances and hidden beauty of quintessential Victoriana. The French and Italian laces will witness a mixed play of layering and embroidery.
Colours like white, coral and midnight blue will present the story of the collection.
"It is wonderful to be back and in fact a great honour to be doing the seventh season at WIFW. It gives great exposure and a serious and creative mix to any designer to express oneself through a collection that reflects pure sense of aesthetics without any constraints," Pande said in a statement.
The designer plans to woo the fashionistas with her new collection that consists of shift dresses, saris, slim draped pants and dhoti skirts
