A day after the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau seized a large quantity of wildlife articles in Noida, Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Thursday that wildlife traffickers won't be spared.
Pointing out that trading in wildlife articles was the third largest trade in the world, the minister said illegal trade in animal parts and other wildlife crimes were being taken very seriously.
"Such operations express the Modi government's seriousness and commitment to fight wildlife crime," the minister said. "The criminals will not be spared at any cost."
He said the seizure in Noida followed successful operations in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Odisha. One person was arrested in Noida.
