Will Yuvika Choudhary play Draupadi? (TV Snippets)

With many well-known faces being considered for the role of Draupadi, it is now rumoured that actress Yuvika Choudhary will slip into the mythological character for "Mahabharata".

"Mahabharata" will be aired on Star Plus soon.

The few names that were under considertaion for the role included actresses Riya Sen and Sayali Bhagat, said a source from the channel.

Yuvika, first seen on the small screen as a participant of "Zee Cine Stars Ki Khoj" in 2004, later featured in TV show "Astitva". She made her Bollywood debut with "Om Shanti Om".

Jayshree T. to play cupid in "Do Dil Ek Jaan"

Yesteryears actress Jayshree T. is back on the small screen as Shaanta daadi in "Do Dil Ek Jaan" and will play cupid to Raghu and Antara.

On a mission to bring the two together, she uses her charm to create situations that eventually brings Raghu and Antara closer to each other.

She was last seen in daily soap "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon" as a strict grandmother.

"After 'Iss Pyaar Ko...', I was looking for a challenging and an interesting role to come to me and Shaanta dadi is just that," she said in a statement.

"Shaanta is loud, different and very lovable, audiences will definitely take an immediate liking towards her. I am very excited to be a part of the show and explore something new through Shaanta daadi," said the actress who was seen in films like "Chalte Chalte" and "Hum Saath Saath Hain"

The show airs Monday to Friday at 9 p.m. on Life OK.

Will Amita be able to stop Amit?

"Amita Ka Amit", the show about a couple and their respective families, will take an unexpected turn as the male lead Amit is headed to the US.

In the show, Amit, essayed by Nishad Vaidya, and Amita, played by Chandni Bhagwanani, had an arranged marriage and eventually they fell in love with each other. But they are unable to express their feelings and now Amit's US trip complicates the situation.

Amit will be seen heading towards the airport hoping that Amita will come after him and stop him from going. He starts imagining how romantic it would have been, if Amita was by his side.

On the other hand, circumstances do not allow Amita to get in touch with Amit and let him know how much she wants him to stay back.

The show airs on Sony TV on week days at 8:30 p.m.
