Wolfsburg jump from sixth to fifth place with 36 points, whilst Berlin slip from seventh to eighth place with 31 points.
Elsewhere, Nuremberg brought Augsburg's eight-match unbeaten run to an end as Josip Drmic scored the only goal of the match.
