Midfielder Julian Draxler will be out of action due to an injury, German outfit VfL Wolfsburg have confirmed in a statement on the club's official home page.
According to the club's statement, Draxler sustained a torn muscle in his adductors during a training session on Thursday, reports Xinhua news agency.
The 23-year-old German international will definitely miss the Bundesliga encounter against newly-promoted side SC Freiburg on Saturday.
Draxler will be sidelined "for the time being", the statement added.
Draxler's injury is a setback for struggling Wolfsburg as they sit at the 16th position in the league table, a relegation play-off spot, after reaping one win, three draws and five defeats from nine Bundesliga games.
