A 23-year-old youth was arrested here Wednesday for attacking a woman who repeatedly refused to marry him, police said.
Wasim, a resident of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, attacked Sultana, 21, with a sharp weapon June 6 when she was alone at her east Delhi home in Ghazipur and escaped.
"Wasim was in love with Sultana and proposed her several times. After repeated refusal from the victim, he got enraged and attacked her to teach her a lesson," said a police officer.'
