A 31-year-old woman and her paramour were arrested here for killing her husband to continue their illicit relationship, police said Saturday.
Police said Neetu Singh was arrested with Vijay Singh, 24, Friday after their role was established in the murder of 48-year-old Raghvender Singh, whose body was recovered June 9 near a railway crossing in west Delhi's Sarai Rohilla area.
Raghvender, a private worker, knew about his wife's illicit relationship with Vijay, police said.
"Raghvender was maligning Neetu and Vijay a lot in front of neighbours... To get rid of this, Neetu made a conspiracy with Vijay to kill her husband," said Madhur Verma, deputy commissioner of police.
"Vijay offered liquor to the victim before killing him. After the murder, both the accused dumped Raghvender's body near a railway crossing," Verma said.
