Woman killed, husband arrested

A woman was killed in a firing incident in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said on Thursday, adding they had arrested her husband and mother-in-law on suspicion of murder.

Police said Jago Devi, a resident of Malikkote village, sustained a bullet injury and later succumbed to her injury.

"Initially the husband and in-laws said she had committed suicide but preliminary investigations have revealed it could be a case of murder," a police officer told IANS.

He said the woman's husband, his brother and her mother-in-law have been arrested.
