A three-day workshop on disaster management was inaugurated here Wednesday as part of the National School Safety Programme (NSSP).
Two districts from Uttar Pradesh - Ghaziabad and Lakhimpur Kheri - have been selected for training school teachers under the NSSP that aims to develop disaster management skills among students of 8,600 schools across the country.
On the first day, 80 school teachers from 16 schools participated in the workshop. A total of 250 teachers from Ghaziabad district will be trained in three days, District Magistrate S.V.S. Rao said.
