Extending his greetings to the government and people of Tanzania on their Union Day, President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday said he would like to see stronger ties and deeper cooperation with Tanzania.
Tanzania observes its Union Day on April 26.
In a message to Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli, Mukherjee said: "India and Tanzania have a long tradition of warm and friendly relations. The multi-dimensional cooperation between our two countries has been growing steadily - to the mutual benefit of our peoples."
"As Tanzania marches ahead, we would like to enhance and strengthen these relations in the years to come," Mukherjee said.
