Three persons, including a yoga guru and a Congress leader, were killed on Wednesday in a three-vehicle pile-up on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district, police said.
The incident took place near Faguha Bhatia when a car was hit by another car coming from the wrong side. A third car also hit it from the rear.
Yoga guru Laxmipati Verma, who was a close associate of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, died on the spot along with Congress leader Dharam Raj Verma. Hari Mohan Agarwal (58), who was in another car, was also killed.
Six others who were critically injured were rushed to a hospital.
