A 19-year-old youth was stabbed to death by his neighbour here after a heated argument over some issue, police said Sunday. The attacker, who was allegedly drunk at the time, has been arrested.
The incident was reported around 6.30 p.m. Saturday from Fatehpur Beri in south Delhi.
Akshay, who was pursuing stenography course from a private institute, was attacked with a sharp edged weapon by his neighbour Suraj, 21, and sustained wounds in his chest.
Police said Suraj had consumed alcohol at the time of the incident. He was arrested a few hours after the incident, said a police official.
"Suraj revealed during interrogation that he had some personal enmity with Akshay. He met the youth in a market where they again indulged in a heated argument that led to the murder," said the official.
