Argentine forward Mauro Zarate joined Italian football club Fiorentina from West Ham United.

Zarate signed for West Ham from Velez Sarsfield in 2014 but struggled to hold a regular first team place after the arrival of coach Slaven Bilic, reports Xinhua.

Zarate was loaned to Queens Park Rangers last season, scored only five goals in 21 outings in all competitions for West Ham this season.

It was reported that Zarate has agreed a two and a half year contract with Fiorentina.
