Zardari's chief security officer killed

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari's chief security officer Bilal Ahmad Sheikh was killed in a suicide bomb blast in southern port city of Karachi Wednesday, police said.

Superintendent Police Imran Shaukat said that the suicide bomber along with another terrorist were chasing Bilal Sheikh's bulletproof vehicle and blew himself up when he was getting out of his vehicle to buy fruit at the Guru Mandar fruit market in Karachi, the capital city of Sindh province, reported Xinhua.

Three dead people included Bilal Sheikh, his driver and a fruit seller while 12 others were injured including eight policemen, Shaukat said.

Raja Umar Umar Khitab, Senior Superintendent Police, told media that an estimated four to five kg of explosives were used in the attack.
