Zenit St. Petersburg returned to the top of the Russian Premier League with a 2-1 home win over Yekaterinburg club Ural here.
An early goal from star striker Hulk gave Zenit the half-time lead, but an Ural equaliser ten minutes after the break stunned Zenit's home fans Friday, reports Xinhua.
A strike from defender Nicolas Lombaerts in the 78th minute ensured that Zenit would return to the top of the league table, if only temporarily. Rivals Lokomotiv Moscow have the chance to regain the lead in their round 19 home fixture with Rubin Kazan' Saturday.
Zenit's next challenge is a final UEFA Champions' League group match against Austria Vienna Wednesday. A win will guarantee Zenit a place in the last 16.
