Real Madrid football legend Zinedine Zidane has said that he would like to coach the club one day.
The Frenchman is currently the coach of Real Madrid Castilla (Real Madrid's B-team) who are currently sixth in their group of the Second Division B (third tier of Spanish football), reports Xinhua.
"Of course, I am interested," he said in an interview in France, when asked about the possibility of one day replacing Carlo Ancelotti as first team coach, although he also made it clear that stepping up to the first team was not a priority.
"There is a very good coach in charge at the moment. I have time and I need to learn," he said, explaining that he has also needed time to mature as a player.
"That was not formed in two years," added Zidane.
Although he is willing to wait before taking over the Real Madrid first team, he confessed that he does have another ambition -- to coach the French national side.
"I am going to say it clearly, my objective and my ambition is to be the coach of France," he said, although he once again made it clear he was in no hurry to replace his friend and former team-mate Didier Deschamps in the post.
"One day, I have a lot of time ahead of me," said Zidane.
