One of the candidates for a civic body election in Chhattisgarh served biryani to voters in a slum area. While he hoped to win them over, some voters complained that the biryani lacked meat, and that the candidate, by just serving fried rice, was cheating them.
Things took an ugly turn and the candidate and his supporters had to flee as the crowd threatened to beat them.
