At a press conference in Mumbai, Home Minister P Chidambaram was reacting to BJP leader LK Advani’s statement that the Congress party had been unfair to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Chidambaram read out passages from BJP MP and former journalist Arun Shourie’s book Worshipping False Gods — where Shourie had ripped apart Ambedkar. “What does the Leader of the Opposition LK Advani have to say”, Chidambaram asked, “about the book written by the party’s resident ideologue and the person they use whenever that party has to deal with any matter which requires an IQ level of more than 60?”
