The celebrities Trinamool Congress is fielding as candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are causing the party an unusual problem. In a meeting with the top party leadership to discuss how best to leverage these celebrities' mass appeal, local leaders said the primary challenge is to make the voters acquainted with their real names. For instance, popular actor and Trinamool candidate Dev's real name is Dipak Adhikary, which may be more or less familiar to voters. But party workers from Bankura are finding the going tough for their candidate Moonmoon Sen, daughter of the late legendary Bengali actress Suchitra Sen. Moonmoon will be contesting against nine times sitting CPI-M MP Basudeb Acharya. But, as a local Trinamool leader complained, "Even I did not know that Moonmoon Sen's real name is Srimati Dev Varma. It will certainly take some time to make voters acquainted with her!"
