Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's firebrand chief Raj Thackeray stunned his party members at a rally at Nilanga in Marathwada region when he exhorted voters to "press the button" on the "bow and arrow" symbol, which happens to belong to deadly rival Shiv Sena. Realising he had made a huge mistake, Raj immediately corrected himself and said voters should press the button on the "engine" symbol, which belongs to his party. Party members began to wonder whether the slip presaged a rapprochement between the two estranged cousins Raj and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray for a post-poll alliance. Just 10 days ago, the two failed to sign on to a seat-sharing deal, but Raj's election rally slip-up suggested that nothing can be ruled out.
