Jugaad from Russia

Perhaps the cutest jugaad is the manner in which Russians fix American-made fog lamp lenses in their cars. It seems the plastic cannot handle the cold, so they simply cut off the bottoms of thick glass pickle jars and use them as lenses. And if you thought a steering lock is the final barrier for a car thief, the Russians, suffering from very high rates of car theft, go further with a custom-made padlock cage for the gearstick so that the thief can’t move the car an inch!
