Kashmir's security blues in New Delhi

The fierce fight put up by Mayawati and Lalu Prasad over the proposal to downgrade their security was barely over when a group of angry “leaders” from Kashmir descended in New Delhi with similar woes. These were candidates who had contested and lost the Lok Sabha elections. Now, they are upset as the state government has withdrawn their security. While the agitated leaders fear that they are sitting ducks for militants, the Omar Abdullah government feels most of them had jumped into the fray with the sole aim of getting security to enhance their social status.
