When Congress ditched Amar

The Congress may have sacked its spokesman Satyavrat Chaturvedi, but expelled Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh is feeling let down. Chaturvedi and Singh had a running battle and Chaturvedi had, in fact, shot to fame by targetting Amar Singh much before he lost his chair-hurling expletive against Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar. After Singh managed to manoeuvre SP’s support in favour of the UPA government, the Congress looked temporarily grateful, but soon Chaturvedi commented on Singh, suggesting him to seek mental asylum. Singh fumed and the Congress conveyed to him that Chaturvedi had been sacked. But now that he was officially been removed for abusing Pawar, Singh realised Chaturvedi was not removed previously. He said: “The Congress had ditched me when they said they had removed Chaturvedi. Actually, he wasn’t.”
