The party hopes to enrol 10 million people through the membership drive, called “Mai Bhi Aam Aadmi”, which will be open till January 26.
Earlier, the party used to charge Rs 10 as membership fees, but it has now been waived off. The party said people can join the party by filling the form through the AAP website, sending an SMS with details and also through the party’s door-to-door campaign. However, only one person can register using one mobile number.
The party has made a separate arrangement for those who do not have a mobile phone. Such people can provide voter ID numbers along with other basis details to become a member. Before the campaign, around 300,000 people had joined the party.
