Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla Sunday criticised Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas for targeting Rahul Gandhi, saying the AAP's thinking was limited to the Congress vice president.
The Congress MP said Gandhi has been contesting elections from Amethi constituency for years and the people there are very happy to see him as their leader.
"Let the general elections results come out. AAP and the other parties will get to know what is the truth," Shukla told Times Now channel.
"Every one is aware of the fact that Rahul Gandhi has been winning elections from Amethi and this time also he will win with a thumping majority," Shukla said in the national capital.
The 43-year-old Kumar Vishwas said at a public rally in Amethi Sunday that Gandhi visited the homes of people belonging to Schedule Castes seeking votes. But the Congress vice president was not actually interested in solving any of the problems the people of his constituency were facing.
He also said Gandhi has never discussed any problem related to the people of Amethi in parliament.
Kumar Vishwas said the Congress was playing "dynastic politics", and that electing an AAP candidate from Amethi was the only solution to the sorry plight of the people.
However, ahead of his maiden public rally in Amethi, the constituency from where he will contest the Lok Sabha elections, Kumar Vishwas was shown black flags on his arrival.
