Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Monday announced the list of candidates for all 40 Lok Sabha constituencies of Tamil Nadu, including Puducherry.
Jayalalithaa, who turned 66 today, said the slogan for the election would be 'Peace, Prosperity and Progress'.
She appealed to the voters to cooperate with the party, and said that her aim is to win all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu.
Jayalalithaa also announced that after the seat sharing aggrement with the CPI and the CPI(M) is finalized, the AIADMK would withdraw candidates from constituencies where the two parties will placing their candidates.
On the recent spat between the Centre and the Tami Nadu Government over the latter's decision to release killers of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, Jayalalithaa said, "We are aware of their review petition and will be filling its response in the court.
