 "Asaram to be in jail for 14 days")
Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu has been remanded in 14-day judicial custody. He will be taken to the Jodhpur Central Jail.
He has been sent to judicial custody till September 15.
The case against Asaram Bapu, is "very strong" and the investigation is moving in the right direction, Jodhpur Police said.
The girl lodged a police complaint on August 20, accusing the 72-year-old Asaram of sexually assaulting her at his ashram. Asaram has denied the charge, and his son has claimed that the girl was "mentally unstable".

Asaram was presented in a court in Jodhpur on Monday. He was on Sunday questioned at a guest house of the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary.
Asaram was taken on a one-day police remand on Sunday after being flown to Jodhpur. He was arrested past midnight on Saturday from his ashram in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
