Notification for by-election to Aizawl North- II Assembly constituency, issued by the Election Commission, was today published in the Mizoram Gazette.

According to the notification, polling for the by-election would be held on November 21 and counting of votes would be undertaken on November 24.

Filing of nominations would be open from today and the last date for filing nominations is November four.

Scrutiny of nomination papers would be conducted on November five while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is on November seven.

The Aizawl North - II assembly seat fell vacant after former health minister Lal Thanzara resigned on August 18 over allegations of conflict of interests and misuse of power.
