Meenakshi Lekhi, a Supreme Court lawyer and national spokesperson of the BJP, won the New Delhi parliamentary constituency, defeating Ashish Khetan (AAP) and Ajay Maken.
Lekhi has been part of the Drafting Committees for bills like “Women Reservation Bill” and “Problem of Sexual Harassment at Workplace”. Besides numerous articles in journals, periodicals and newspapers, she participates in various Television Shows on matters on National and International Importance.

Lekhi has been a member of the special committee of the National Commission for Women, Chairperson of Special Task Force on Women Empowerment, Vice Chairperson of JPM, Blind School, New Delhi & Jt. Secretary, Blind Relief Association.
She has also launched a mobile phone app 'Raksha' for women's safety.
