"Nitish Kumar is standing at a political crossroad. He is extending his right hand towards Congress and on the other hand, saluting Left parties with his left hand," former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said in a statement.
As part of this dilemma, he was maintaining a "silence" on rampant corruption, price rise and misrule of Congress led UPA government which has left the common man depressed, he said.
On the other hand, in the name of communalism, he was attending a function in Delhi with other regional parties, Sushil Modi said.
"This is an attempt to bail out UPA which is neck-deep in corruption by raising bogey of communalism to checkmate Narendra Modi," the senior Bihar BJP leader said.
"The fact is that the common man is angry with Congress on the issue of price rise and corruption and in such a condition, 14 political parties, including JD(U) of Nitish Kumar, gather on one platform to divert that anger towards BJP in the name of communalism," he said while reacting on the anti-communalism meet in Delhi.
"Isn't it an attempt to help Congress and divert attention of people from burning issues plaguing the country?" he asked Kumar.
"The concept of Third Front has lost its relevance long back. Actually people involved in such a grouping will bring instability in the country," he said.
