Over 370 grievances pending for more than 90 days in DoPT:Govt

All divisional heads of offices have been asked speedy disposal of public grievances

Over 370 public grievances related to Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) are pending for more than three months, the government said today.

"The total numbers of petitions regarding public grievances received by the Director of Public Grievances, DoPT, since the inception of scheme on January 1, 2002 to January 31, 2014 are 8,972.

"Out of these 8,972 public grievances, 371 grievances are pending for duration of more than 90 days as on January 31, 2014," Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions V Narayanasamy today told Lok Sabha in a written reply.

All divisional heads of offices under the DoPT have been requested to comply with existing instructions relating to speedy disposal of public grievances, he said.
