Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain will visit China for the first time after assuming office from Feb 18 to 20, the country's foreign office announced.

The president will hold summit-level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported Tuesday.

Hussain will also meet Premier Li Keqiang and Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China.

After the announcement of the Pakistan-China economic corridor, the two countries have started planning implementation of infrastructure projects to concretise the gains of connectivity.

During the visit, the second meeting of the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) of the Pakistan-China economic corridor will be convened Feb 18.

The JCC will finalise and decide on the implementation of mutually agreed projects of the economic corridor.

Bilateral trade has crossed $12 billion with Pakistan's exports increasing by 48 percent.
