The court took cognisance of the sixth chargesheet filed by CBI against Jagan and others on September 10 and ordered for issuance of summons with a direction that all the accused in the chargesheet should appear before it on November 1.
The sixth chargesheet relates to the issue of India Cements, represented by its Vice-Chairman and Managing Director N Srinivasan, making alleged quid pro quo investments to the tune of Rs 140 crore into the companies of Jagan, and consequent "undue" benefits received by India Cements in the issues of allocation of lease of land, allocation of water from rivers Krishna and Kagna.
Jagan and his financial advisor Vijay Sai Reddy figured as the first two accused in the chargesheet while other names included that of Srinivasan, IAS officers M Samuel and Aditya Nath Das, India Cements, Jagati Publications and Carmel Asia.
CBI, probing the quid-pro-quo investments case, has so far filed 10 chargesheets.
Jagan, who is the prime accused in the case, walked out of Chanchalguda jail yesterday after he was granted bail after 16 months.
The case relates to investments made by various companies in Jagan's firms as quid quo pro for alleged favours bestowed on them during the tenure of his father (late) Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as Chief Minister between 2004 and 2009.
