SP not confident of winning 2017 Assembly elections: Niranjana Jyoti

She said possible alliance of SP with RLD shows their lack of confidence

Union Minister and senior BJP leader Niranjana Jyoti claimed on Tuesday that the Samajwadi Party (SP) is trying to form an alliance with the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) of Ajit Singh as it is not confident of winning the 2017 state assembly elections.

"The attempt to form alliance with RLD shows that SP is not confident of coming to power again," the Union Minister of State for Food processing said while talking to reporters in Vrindaban after paying obeisance to principal deity of Bankey Behari temple.

The manner in which SP leaders are taking initiative to have a dialogue with RLD to form an alliance shows that they are afraid of defeat in 2017 assembly elections, she claimed.
