BVG, the third largest wooden flooring brand in India has entered into a techno-marketing collaboration with Barlinek of Poland, one of the largest wooden flooring manufacturers in the world. BVG shall market a wide range of premium quality engineered wooden flooring in India manufactured by Barlinek in Poland.
Through this new alliance, BVG shall also bring to India cutting edge wooden flooring technology like the new 5GS floorboard joint where the floor can be laid by as much as 25% faster without any special tools. The new joint reduces the risk of a squeaky floor to a minimum. The system features a new floorboard front lock design, which utilizes a special tongue made of composite materials. The design works so well that you do not need a hammer and tapping block. And since no adhesive is used, the risk of contamination during installation is eliminated. Barlinek floorboards are covered with as many as seven layers of UV hardened varnish, which forms a very good protection against wear and tear, scratches and other damage.
BVG’s alliance with Barlinek is strategic. With wooden flooring market in India set grow phenomenally BVG needed a stable International partner with high quality manufacturing base. The Indian wooden flooring segment is expected to witness entry of a handful of world players over the next few years making the market. Almost in anticipation of impending completion from global players, BVG has signed up a MoU with Barlinek.
The Polish brand is among the top three manufacturers in Europe. The company produces a range of flooring products including domestic and exotic veneers, solid pine, mosaic and parquets. It is probably better known for its new Barlinek floorboard which comprises engineered timber flooring with its patented barclick click-together jointing system. The floorboard is available in a variety of natural timber facings.
Barlinek also manufacturers a commercial flooring option known as Barkiet Sport. This also comprises a three layer solid wood flooring laid over a flexible underlay and is used in sports halls and other high-traffic venues where durability is paramount. These boards are made of 100% natural wood and comprise of three layers of wood with a number of protective coatings. This engineered product is made to stringent manufacturing standards that ensure a product that stands up well to modern living conditions and also, for the do-it-yourself enthusiast, is easy to fit because of their click-together jointing system.
Announcing the tie-up, Vishal Goyal, Managing Director of BVG said in New Delhi, “Our attempt to broaden the consumer base of wooden Flooring by spreading to Tier Two cities in India shall get a fillip through this tie-up with Barlinek. India is replete with poor quality import of laminated flooring. Consumers are yet not aware of the difference between pure wood and laminate flooring. Hopefully the Barlinek brand and Polish quality shall bring about a difference in consumer choice for wooden flooring in India.”
