Disney Channel's popular show Ishaan's music now available in stores

Disney Channel’s popular original television series, Ishaan, is set to delight audiences yet again with the launch of its new music album on March 29, 2011. This highly anticipated album comprises nine exciting tracks featured on Ishaan – Sapno Ko Awaz De and a super special bonus track from the original king of Disco --- Bappi Lahiri. The music of Ishaan, loved by kids and families alike, resonates the show’s themes of fun and friendship. The album features peppy tracks sung by young artists Nikhil D’souza, Remo Ghosh, Debopriya (June) Bannerjee, Rajiv Sndaresan, Kaizad Gerda and Pawni Pandey. Well known music directors Anand Ranganathan, Dhruv Ghanekar along with Kaizad Gerda and Kabir Singh have arranged music for the show. The lyrics of the songs have been given by Irfan Siddiqui and P.A. Sreekanth.

Speaking about the album, Natasha Malhotra, vice president and general manager, Walt Disney Television International India, said, “We’re very excited about the unprecedented success of Ishaan’s music. Ishaan is the first locally produced musical for tweens on Indian television and the album will also be the first time that a television show’s music featuring original tracks will be launched. The album features some exceptionally talented artists whose rhythm and vocals are an absolute delight to hear.”

Says Dhruv Ghanekar, “Working on Ishaan music has been a fun and exciting experience. It’s been a pleasure to collaborate with some gifted young artists and bring Disney’s storytelling alive through the music.

“Ishaan has a big fan following and I’m sure these kids and their families will enjoy listening to the music on the album as much as they enjoyed watching it on the show” adds Anandh Ranganathan.

The songs on the album have a contemporary pop feel and range from fun-filled catchy tunes like “I’m the one”, to acoustic love ballads like “Jo Pyaar Ho Raha Hai”, to the fan favourite rock anthem, “Sapno ko awaz de”. There is also an extra special treat for the fans in the form of a bonus track titled ‘D.I.S.C.O’ by the king of disco himself, Bappi Lahiri. This wholesome and youthful blend of various music styles lends the entire album an “easy listening” feel that will appeal to listeners with varied musical preferences. The album will be available in all major retail stores across India and in addition, fans can also download Ishaan wallpapers, ring tones and caller tunes of these songs available across leading mobile platforms and www.disney.in.
