Soon after the launch, Idea has now introduced a range of attractive offers, including ‘Double Dhamaka’ to enable mobile users in the region to enter the world of 3G. This new Double Dhamaka is a prepaid recharge pack of Rs. 58 which offers 200 MB of free 3G data along with other Talktime and tariff benefits.

Apart from this, Idea is also offering the lowest entry point pack for users to avail 3G services, starting at just Rs. 7. The 3G trial pack comes with a validity of 1 day and offers 20MB of 3G data usage. For other users, Idea has the widest possible range of plans for prepaid and postpaid subscribers, starting from as low as Rs. 7 going up to Rs. 5,000 pack which offers 30GB of free 3G data usage for upto 125 Days.

Idea has also launched a special 3G tariff plan for postpaid subscribers priced at 5 paise/10KB. Additionally, Idea is also offering the lowest Video Calling tariff on 3G at just 2 paise/second, for all local and National calls.

Commenting on the initial experience, Mr. N.F. Aibara, Chief Operating Officer – UP West, Idea Cellular said, “The response to our ‘Gold Standard’ 3G services has been overwhelming with both existing users of GPRS and data services, as well as the first time users subscribing to these services in UP West and Uttarakhand. High speed internet on mobile, Idea NetSetter wireless internet data card, IdeaMall, Video calling and Live TV on mobile have emerged as the most popular services so far. We have developed these services and tariff plans keeping in mind convenience and affordability of the users.”

Idea subscribers can now experience ‘Gold Standard’ 3G services including Video Conferencing, IdeaMall Application Store, Mobile TV, Video on Demand, and High-speed Internet Browsing with Time based Billing plan and ‘Sachet Pricing’.

Idea’s 3G services offers its subscribers the best mobile experience in downloading songs, streaming videos on YouTube, streaming audio, photo updates on Facebook, mail and other online media, movie downloads, watching mobile TV, e-mailing with attachments, blog postings, viewing photos, and Flash & HD Gaming. Idea 3G users are experiencing speeds upto 21 Mbps on 3G handsets, and higher speed on other devices depending on the device capability. Idea TV allows subscribers to watch up to 100 channels.

The company has also launched a toll free helpline 53599 to facilitate all 3G related information for users. To know more about Idea’s 3G services, and to check handset compatibility, customers can log onto www.ideacellular.com/3g. To feel the difference personally, mobile users can experience 3G services at special ‘Experience Kiosks’ set up at select Idea stores.
