Micro Focus® (LSE.MCRO.L), a leading provider of Enterprise Application Modernisation, Testing and Management solutions, today announced that it will be participating at the Step In Summit 2010, an event focussed on testing to be held in Bangalore from February 11-12, 2010. Micro Focus is the Platinum sponsor of the summit and will be leveraging the forum to announce its entry in the testing space following the acquisition of Compuware and Borland testing divisions last year.
Joachim Herschmann, Product Director of Test Automation, Micro Focus will be delivering the plenary session titled, “The Future of Testing: How Testing and Technology will change.” The discussion will focus on the importance of continuous quality assurance and the future of testing technology. In addition, Micro Focus will present with Microsoft their joint testing solution where the Micro Focus Silk Suite will be integrated with Visual Studio 2010, which will allow developers to improve efficiency and productivity by utilising Micro Focus’s developer tools directly from within Visual Studio 2010.
Micro Focus testing products help organizations accelerate the delivery of high-performing applications while ensuring that quality is built into every phase of the software delivery lifecycle. In addition, Micro Focus COBOL enables developers to exploit existing enterprise applications on the Microsoft platform. The majority of organisations that still operate COBOL-based applications now have a low risk opportunity to take advantage of Visual Studio 2010 without the need for rewriting their applications. The time savings this generates will enable higher productivity and deliver improved ease-of-use for developers, as well as allowing them to exploit emerging platforms and environments, such as Cloud Computing.
