Pearson appoints regional director for language testing in India

Pearson India today announces the appointment of Pawan Adhikari as Regional Director for Pearson’s Language Testing Division. Pawan will lead the growth of the computer-based English language proficiency test, PTE Academic, in South Asia.

Pawan joins Pearson from Prometric, where he was business development manager, leading the company’s foray into computer based testing in India. He has more than 15 years’ experience in management with organisations such as the British Standards Institution (India), The Princeton Review and Blue Dart.

Emma Stubbs, Senior Vice President at Language Testing, Pearson said: “Pawan has a strong track record of developing relationships with partners in the field of testing, and his knowledge and contacts will be invaluable to help generate sales of PTE Academic in one of our key markets.”

Pawan has an MBA in International Marketing from the prestigious International Management Institute, New Delhi.
