A team of global experts from the domains of Test Measurement and Test Security is conducting sessions on the ‘BEST PRACTICES OF TEST DESIGN and TEST SECURITY’
Details about the Session –
The Indian testing space is in a period of transformation, with many organisations undertaking the transition from Paper and Pencil (PNP) to Computer-based testing (CBT). CBT has many advantages for both the test owner and the test taker over PNP – allowing for increased reach and availability of testing opportunities through the ability to provide longer testing windows or even on-demand testing, improved security of the test data itself, candidate data and the test centre, and the enhanced ability to test skills and aptitude through the use of the vast array of question types that CBT offers.
Indian organisations that currently offer tests, or are considering using tests to determine the best candidate for their program, or to ensure that an individual is fit and qualified to perform their role (licensure and certification) are feeling some pressure to move to CBT. To assist these organisations in their planning, Pearson VUE would like to share some of the best practices utilised by their global customer base, delivering some of the world’s gold standard exams such as the GMAT, the UK Driver’s License test, the Australian Medical Council, nursing licensure to name but a few. These tests are delivered in their millions annually, and all these programs share many of the challenges experienced in the Indian domain, such as candidate and test security, the ability to access large numbers of test centres to reduce the travel burden on test-takers and reducing opportunities for test-taker fraud or cheating. All need to ensure fairness in the testing process and to be able to defend their test from challenges by their test-takers.
