DBOI Global Services, the global processing arm of Deutsche Bank, today inaugurated its global service delivery centre in Mahindra World City (MWC), Jaipur. The Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje inaugurated the Centre at the MWC which is a 2600 acre multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
This state-of-the-art facility will house operational and support teams for Deutsche Bank. The centre will also deliver operations and business function solutions for several of the Bank’s divisions, commencing initially with Investment Banking and Asset Management. DBOI Global Services expects to employ 500 professionals at its Jaipur facility by the end of the year.
Present at the occasion, Mr. Arun Nanda, Executive Director and President, Mahindra Group said, "I am proud to witness yet another milestone for Mahindra World City, Jaipur which comes within a record 2 years of signing the joint venture agreement with the Rajasthan government. The inauguration of the Deutsche Bank Operations International reaffirms our endeavour of bringing world-class organizations to Rajasthan and creating limitless opportunities for economic growth and social development in the region."
MWC, Jaipur’s IT SEZ is spread across approximately 750 acres and is the largest planned IT SEZ in the country. This IT SEZ currently plays host to companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Nucleus Software, Connexions and other leading IT organizations. This IT SEZ forms a part of the larger 2600 acre multi-product SEZ that also has Light Engineering, Auto Ancillary, Handicrafts and Logistics zones, with an envisaged investment of Rs. 10,000 crore and projected employment of 1 lakh by 2012.
Part of the MWC’s IT SEZ is “eVolve” – a 25 acre campus of 10 modular buildings with a built up space of 1.6 million square feet.. This space is complete with all amenities like a Central Food Court, Bank ATMs, Gymnasium and a Jogging Track. The layout of the campus is based on latest design principals incorporating energy saving techniques. Deutsche Bank is the anchor customer occupying an area of 2 lakh square feet.
MWC, Jaipur a leading example of public-private partnership, is a 74:26 joint venture between Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. (MLDL) and the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Industrial Corporation (RIICO). A notable fact is that this SEZ has become operational within two years of its initial launch. In addition to the Customers in the IT SEZ, MWC Jaipur’s client list includes ICICI Bank, QH Talbros, Marsons Electricals, Tijaria Polyprep, Dynamic Engineering, Polymed, Genus Power, Veto Electropower, Pink City Enterprises, Artasia, Artage, Heritage, A L Paperhouse, Vamani Enterprises, Rustic Furniture, etc.

The Mahindra World City SEZ at Jaipur is master-planned by Jurong Consultants, Singapore, as an integrated business city on 2600 acres of land on the Jaipur–Ajmer-Mumbai highway. This is a multi-product special economic zone and is the first successful model of public–private partnership between the USD 6.7 billion Mahindra group and RIICO, a government of Rajasthan enterprise. The customs office, an important prerequisite for operationalizing any Special Economic Zone, is already functional.
