South African Tourism announces Hanneli Slabber as India, Country Manager

South African Tourism Board in India is happy to announce the appointment of Hanneli Slabber as Country Manager, India for South African Tourism. Hanneli assumes responsibilities for all India operations for the tourism board from Evelyn Mahlaba, Acting Country Manager- India.

An industry veteran with around 20 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality sector and more than four years of considerable experience with South African Tourism, Hanneli has since 2007 served as the Global Manager: Product. Her in-depth knowledge of South Africa’s beautiful landscape and the right kind of destination packaging has lead to the creation of many a global marketing campaign that has helped boost travel numbers to South Africa.

As, Country Manager, India, Hanneli will focus her efforts on promoting South Africa as a preferred destination to a potential traveller. In her new role she will be developing and implementing marketing strategies, creating awareness of South African Tourism, monitoring the market trends, and improving corporate image.

Welcoming Hanneli to India, Evelyn Mahlaba, Acting Country Manager and Regional Director Asia, Americas and Australia said, “It is a delight to welcome Hanneli, someone I am well acquainted with, to lead the India campaign considering it is a key and strategic market for South Africa. She joins South African Tourism in India at time when traveller traffic has been escalating at a fast pace. This makes our efforts and planning doubly challenging and exciting. Hanneli brings to the table a wealth of industry experience that will lead the team in the right direction.”
