With over 1,200 members, including CEOs and CIOs from US, EU, Japanese and Chinese companies, Nasscom plays an active role in the international IT and BPO industry. This year’s conference marks the organisation’s 20th anniversary and is entitled “Reshaping the global economy”. Speakers of note include John Chambers, the Chairman and CEO of Cisco, Rosabeth Moss Kanter specialist in leadership and innovation from Harvard Business School and CK Prahalad, well known academic and author of “The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid.”

As a platinum sponsor for the third time, Steria will have a high profile at this major international event. The company will have a stand and will also be actively involved in two conference sessions.  Steria will use the opportunity to demonstrate how India is key to its ‘Excellence without boundaries’ vision and at the very heart of its development strategy. The conference will also be used to launch “Exchange”, the Steria Business Blog for debate and innovation in the IT and BPO industry.

Two speaking opportunities: round table and client testimonial.
Today, Steria organized a round table on the opening day of the conference, Wednesday 11th February, 11.30am to 1pm.  Entitled “Euro Vision – Is Fortress Europe opening up?”, the session was chaired by Dr Mukesh Aghi, CEO Steria India, and brought together representatives with both an Indian and European perspective. Panellists were Peter Redshaw, VP Research, Gartner; Luc-Francois Salvador, Chairman & CEO The Sogeti Group; Sudip Banerjee, CEO of L&T Infotech; Sid Pai, Partner and MD, TPI India; Chris Gentle, Director of Research Europe, Deloitte.

The discussion centres on how the offshoring proposition can be better aligned to meet the specific requirements and challenges of the organisations operating within the social and cultural constraints of the "Old Continent".

Andrew Kemp, Group Controller and Director of Reporting, Planning and Analysis, at BT, a long-standing Steria client for Finance & Accounting, will be participating in a panel on “Managing Risks”, which will be at the centrepiece of hot debate in these volatile times.

An interactive and online discussion: the Steria Business Blog.
On the first day of the event, Steria launched Exchange, the Steria Business Blog.  With Exchange, Steria is creating an on-line platform where clients, partners, competitors, academics, analysts, journalists and industry thought-leaders can freely engage in discussions to share and help solve some of today’s big issues and challenges. This interactive blog will be open to all contributions, and initial discussions will revolve around: globalisation and the flat world, regulations and compliance, HR and training, security and e-identification, partnership. Editorial support will be provided by Mark Kobayashi-Hillary, a well known British researcher and business writer, based in London and specialised in all topics linked to globalisation, outsourcing, offshoring and IT in general.
