December 14, 2011: At its recently held meeting, the Board of directors of Thirumalai Chemicals Limited decided that Mr. R. Parthasarathy will be the Managing Director.
Mr. Parthasarathy will work closely with Mr. D. R. Dhariwal, CEO, to grow the businesses of the company and to improve performance.
Speaking about this, Parthasarathy said, “The company is working towards significant growth both in its bulk chemicals, and in its specialty businesses which serve the Food and Cosmetic segments in India and Internationally.”
Dhariwal, was appointed CEO in July this year and is an alumnus of IIT, Delhi. He brings to the table vast experience from being CEO / President, Birla White and earlier, other companies and divisions of the Aditya V Birla Group.
Parthasarathy has been with Thirumalai Chemicals since 1974. A chemical engineer trained at IIT and the US, he is currently the President of the Indian Chemical Council, the apex body of Chemical Industries Associations.
